My spouse is still overseas. I am working on the petition right now. It's tax time! I applied for an ITIN for her but I haven't heard back from the IRS yet. It has been about 2 months. Can I file married filing jointly and leave the SS field blank or do I not file married filing jointly? If I do the latter how do I explain that to USCIS?

What are the steps to withdraw a K1 application?

I got tired of waiting and I went ahead and tied the knot. I would like to withdraw my K1 and file a CR1.

After approval of my 129-F the K1 has been bounced around from the embassy and USCIS for about 2 years and counting..... No one can give me a definite disposition status.

I am currently on furlough and collecting unemployment. Can I file a CR1 under that condition? I have a good 401k and my past incomes can easily meet USCIS income requirements.
